Not everyone loves the look of the latest BMW M4 Coupe. That sizeable front grille still gets much attention—and not the good kind. But with time, even the oddest designs sometimes grow on us. Like the older E60 M5, which many people once called ugly but now find stylish.
Some tuning companies try to fix that bold grille by replacing the front bumper. Others go over and add so many extra parts that the car looks almost silly. And that's exactly what happened with this BMW M4.
Widebody BMW M4 by DarwinPro Aero
This wild-looking M4 was tuned by DarwinPro Aero, a company known for bold and flashy car makeovers. This version of the BMW M4 has a complete widebody kit with extra parts on all sides.
Exterior Add-ons Include:
- Front bumper fins
- Large chin spoiler
- Ducktail trunk spoiler
- Big rear wing
- New rear diffuser with motorsport-style brake light
- Side skirt extensions
- Fender flares
The hood is also new. The car has a bold purple wrap and lots of carbon fiber details from DarwinPro's parts. Everything added to the car is made from carbon fiber.
The M4 rides on black Y-spoke wheels with red brake calipers that stand out. It also has tinted rear windows for a sleeker look.
Is It Too Much?
Some might like the dramatic look, but for others, it may feel like too much. The rear wing, front bumper add-ons, and hood design don't seem to match well. It feels like DarwinPro went too far again, just like they have with some past builds.
But not every DarwinPro project is over-the-top. They made an Audi RS 6 Avant earlier this year that looked really good. Sadly, this BMW M4 doesn't have that same appeal.
