Brabus 750 Bodo Buschmann Edition Returns

25 Apr, 2025 2
Brabus 750 Bodo Buschmann

The Brabus 750 Bodo Buschmann Edition is back in the spotlight. We saw it last year, but this updated version has small changes. Brabus, the famous car tuner, asked its social media fans to rate the wheels from 1 to 10.

The wheels are a strong 7 out of 10. But the whole car? That's a solid 9.

This car is based on the Mercedes-AMG SL 63. It's named after Brabus founder Bodo Buschmann, who passed away in 2018 at 62. The car has custom parts inside, outside, under the hood, and even underneath the body.

Powerful Engine Upgrades

The Brabus 750 uses a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. It now makes 739 horsepower (750 ps/552 kW) and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque. That's 163 more horsepower and 74 more lb-ft of torque than the stock SL 63.

The original car goes from 0 to 62 mph (100 kph) in 3.6 seconds. This Brabus version is faster—it only takes 3.3 seconds. The top speed remains the same at 196 mph (315 kph).

Brabus added new turbos, an upgraded exhaust system, and new software to improve performance.

Brabus Touches on the Outside

Brabus made changes to the car's look, too. They added sports springs for a better ride. The wheels are now black instead of silver. The rear wheels are 12x22 inches with 335/25 tires, while the front wheels are 10.5x21 inches with 275/35 tires.

It also gets a new front apron, rear spoiler, fender attachments, and a rear diffuser. Brabus logos are placed all around the car to show off the brand.

Custom Interior Details

Inside the cabin, the Brabus 750 has black leather seats with a quilted pattern. Black piping and special "77" signs are also stamped into the seats. This number honors the year Brabus was founded—1977.

Limited Edition and Pricing

Brabus will only make 25 of these cars. Each one is priced like a modern-day supercar. One example with 1,056 miles (1,700 km) is listed for sale on the Brabus website for €356,881 (about $385,485).

Stock SL 63 vs. Brabus 750

The stock Mercedes-AMG SL 63 4Matic+ starts at €194,654.25 (around $210,256) in Germany. In the U.S., the 2024 model is still listed at an MSRP of $183,000.

If you want something more affordable, there's the SL 55 with 469 hp (475 ps/350 kW) and 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) for $141,300. Or go for the base SL 43 with a 2.0-liter engine making 375 hp (380 ps/280 kW) and 354 lb-ft (480 Nm), starting at $109,900.

So, if the Brabus 750 is on your dream car list—what color would your Ferrari Roma be?
