Tweaked Ferrari F8 Spider Looks Perfect

The Ferrari F8's story came to an abrupt end in 2023, after only four years, when the final copy rolled off the line at Italy's Maranello factory. The Prancing Horse stopped taking orders in early 2022, and one lucky North American received the final one.

In fact, the last Ferrari F8 Tributo was the only one built for the 2023 model year and was delivered to this side of the world. For what it's really worth (pun intended), this could be the world's most valuable F8, and we don't expect to see it on the secondary market anytime soon.

The Prancing Horse never referred to the 296 GTB as the F8's replacement, and it isn't. It brings the brand into the electrified era with a hybrid powertrain. However, it follows the same recipe, with a rear mid-mounted engine and pure rear-wheel drive for pure racing fun.

The Ferrari 296 GTB accelerates from 0 to 62 mph (100 kph) in 2.9 s, thanks to its combined 818 horsepower (830 ps/610 kW). The 3.0L V6 produces 654 horsepower (663 ps/488 kW), while the electric motor generates 165 horsepower (167 ps/123 kW). It can reach speeds of more than 205 mph (330 kph) before running out of breath.

By comparison, the Ferrari F8 accelerates equally from 0 to 62 mph and has a slightly higher maximum speed of 211 mph (340 kph). It is powered by a forced induction V8 with a displacement of 3.9 liters located behind the seats. When the supercar was new, the engine generated 568 lb-ft (770 Nm) of torque and 710 bhp (720 ps/530 kW).

When comparing the Ferrari F8 and the 296 GTB, we may have gotten off on the wrong foot. However, this story is not about that; it is about a modified version of the former. The images above show a F8 Spider with a few modifications. The V-spoke wheels are on the list, as is a reducing kit, which has brought the body closer to the asphalt.

Novitec recently shared images of this build on its social media channels, and we must admit that it is a stunning project. We've always believed that less is more, especially in the tuning world, and the pictured Ferrari F8 Spider exemplifies that. It has a shiny black finish, matching wheels, red brake calipers, and a red and black interior that receives natural light when the roof is folded down.

The tuner knows how to bring out the shine in its creations, and we believe the open-top F8 in question is a dream machine. We'd always prefer it to a 296 GTB, and we believe you would as well.
