The G87 BMW M2 Coupe comes with a solid exhaust sound from the factory. But if you want a deeper, sharper growl, there's a better option. By replacing the stock valved exhaust with a titanium system from Akrapovic, the M2's engine sound becomes even more exciting.
Installed by All Stars Motorsport
Even though Akrapovic makes the exhaust, this install was done by All Stars Motorsport. They serve three European countries and offer the Akrapovic Evolution Line titanium exhaust for the G87 M2 at 6,443.39 euros (about USD 7,110 at current rates).
Legal and Easy to Install
This system is made in Slovenia, where Akrapovic is based. It's ECE-approved, which means it's street-legal in Europe. The setup includes titanium pipes and carbon-fiber tailpipes. It's a cat-back exhaust, which bolts directly onto the stock system. The package also comes with all the hardware needed for installation.
Small Power Boost and Big Weight Drop
While it won't make a massive difference in horsepower, it does offer some dyno-tested gains.
- 5.9 PS or about 5.8 horsepower
- 13.5 Nm or about 10 lb-ft of torque
- Weight savings: 7.3 kg, which is 16.1 lbs
Sound Upgrade: Hear the Difference
Even though installing the system takes some cutting and wiring, it's not hard to do. The sound is where you notice the change. A video comparison at the end shows how much better the Akrapovic exhaust sounds versus the stock one.
