Mercedes-Benz has never officially made a Maybach version of the G-Class. Back in 2017, we saw the Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Landaulet, but that was a limited edition. Now, a tuning house has done what Mercedes didn't: meet the Metagarage G900 Maybach, a one-of-a-kind luxury G-Wagon.
From Mercedes-AMG G63 to G900 Maybach
This custom SUV started as a Mercedes-AMG G63 but has been completely transformed. Only a few original features remain, such as:
- Round headlights
- Turn signals on the hood
- Rear-mounted spare tire
- Door hinges on the outside
Everything else has been changed to turn it into a luxury lounge on wheels.
Maybach Styling on the Outside
The team at Metagarage in Dubai added major upgrades to the outside. The SUV now features:
- Maybach-style front grille with vertical slats in gloss black
- Tons of chrome accents for a premium look
- The Maybach double M logo proudly placed above the grille
- Unique multi-spoke alloy wheels never seen on a G-Class before
- Rectangular chrome exhaust tips
- New side sills replace the standard ones
- Maybach badge on the C-pillar
- A stylish roof wing
- Chrome trim at the back that matches the front
- The original "G 63" badge is now replaced with "G900"
Ultra-Luxury Interior With Maybach Touches
Step inside, and it feels like a luxury lounge. The G900 Maybach has:
- White perforated leather on almost every surface
- Custom headrests with the Maybach logo
- Rear-seat entertainment system with screens on the front seat headrests
- A large center console just for the rear passengers
- Adjustable footrests for maximum comfort
- Maybach logo design on the door panels
This is not your regular G-Class. It's a luxury SUV made for the elite.
Supercar Power Under the Hood
Even though the looks changed, the engine stayed the same. The G900 Maybach still uses:
- A 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine
- 577 horsepower (585 metric hp)
- 627 lb-ft of torque (850 Nm)
- A 9-speed automatic transmission
- All-wheel drive
- 0 to 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds — that's supercar speed
- A top speed of 137 mph (220 km/h) or 149 mph (240 km/h) with the optional AMG Driver's Package
First Buyers Get Special Perks
Metagarage says the first customers to buy the G900 Maybach will get special treatment. There's no official price yet, but since this custom SUV is in Dubai, don't expect it to be cheap.
