Mansory has built many unique vehicles that stand out, like a bold Mercedes-AMG G 63 6x6. But today’s focus is a different kind of G-Wagen named “Gronos.”
If you’ve followed Mansory, you may already know about the G63 Gronos. It has been part of their line-up for a while. But this newest version is something fresh. According to Mansory, everything is new in this version, and they plan to make just eight of them. However, we think they might build more if someone is willing to pay extra.
What’s New Compared to the Standard Mercedes-AMG G 63?
This version of the Mansory Mercedes G63 is much more aggressive. It has a redesigned front bumper with extra daytime running lights (DRLs) and a lower chin spoiler. The hood is new, and so are the wider fender flares. In the back, you’ll see a new rear bumper with a piece resembling a diffuser.
There’s more. Look above the front windshield, and you’ll spot a roof attachment. There are two rear spoilers and extra trim on the D-pillars at the back. Mansory also added a custom spare wheel cover and replaced the taillights on the rear bumper.
Custom Exhaust, Wheels, and Striking Yellow Style
Mansory made its own exhaust tips and added huge 24-inch wheels from its FD—15-wheel series. The whole SUV is bright yellow, with black and forged carbon fiber accents. Inside, the yellow theme continues.
The interior is covered in fine leather. Mansory also redesigned many parts: the seatbelts, cushions, steering wheel, center console, and roof headliner. Even the door panels are custom-made. There’s also a new panel on the ceiling that holds the ignition button. The starlight headliner adds a luxury touch.
Stronger Engine, Faster Speed
The regular Mercedes-AMG G 63 has a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8. It produces 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque and 577 hp (585 ps/430 kW). With this setup, the car can move from 0-62 mph in about 4.5 seconds.
But this Mansory Mercedes G63 Gronos is much more powerful. Mansory says it makes 848 lb-ft (1,150 Nm) of torque and 808 hp (820 ps/603 kW). That means it can go from 0 to 62 mph in just 4 seconds, which is fast for such a large, heavy SUV.
A Loud Look with a Bold Personality
Mansory is known for wild, flashy designs. But this new Gronos isn’t over-the-top like some of their past builds. Sure, it’s still bold, especially in yellow, but many might say it looks good — maybe even better in a darker color.
So, what do you think? Would you drive this bold, powerful version of the G 63? Or would you rather keep your Mercedes-AMG G 63 as it is?
