Blacked-Out Audi RS Q8 by Prior Design

Blacked-out Audi RS Q8

Car lovers often call the Audi RS Q8 a more affordable version of the Lamborghini Urus. That's because they share the same platform. But it's not just the Urus — the regular Q8, Q7, Porsche Cayenne, Bentley Bentayga, and Volkswagen Touareg are also built on it.

Audi RS Q8 vs Lamborghini Urus: A Budget Super SUV?

A brand-new Lamborghini Urus S costs over $230,000. The Audi RS Q8, however, starts at $125,800, according to Audi's US website. This price doesn’t include destination and dealer fees, but it's still much more affordable.

Other luxury SUVs in the same class include:

  • Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S Coupe starting at $129,050
  • BMW X6 M starting at $129,700

So, the RS Q8 offers serious power at a lower cost.

How Powerful Is the Audi RS Q8?

Even though it shares a lot with the Urus, Audi ensured the RS Q8 wouldn’t outperform it. But don’t worry — it’s still a beast.

The RS Q8 has a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 591 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. It can go from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.8 seconds, with a top speed of 155 mph.

The Lamborghini Urus S is a bit faster. It makes 657 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque. It goes from 0 to 62 mph in 3.5 seconds and can hit a top speed of 190 mph.

Even though it’s slightly slower, the RS Q8 is still one of the fastest luxury SUVs.

Prior Design Gives the RS Q8 a Stealthy Makeover

The Audi RS Q8 first came out at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show, and it's still turning heads today. This is especially true when tuners get involved.

The blacked-out RS Q8 in the photo is customized by Prior Design. They shared images of it on social media earlier this week.

What's New on This Custom RS Q8?

Here's what Prior Design changed:

  • The front bumper is the same as the stock one but has added custom touches.
  • A new hood with a more aggressive shape replaces the original.
  • Extra trim was added to the front fenders.
  • The rear bumper remains but has a sportier diffuser.
  • Two spoilers were added — one below and one above the rear window.
  • Fender flares make the SUV look wider and more muscular.
  • New five double-spoke black alloy wheels were added.
  • The car has a glossy finish on its add-ons and a satin black wrap that gives it a stealthy, almost superhero-like look.

Any Performance Upgrades?

Prior Design didn't mention any changes to the engine. So, it's safe to say this RS Q8 probably keeps its stock at 591 horsepower. If it had more power, they would've said something.

Final Thoughts: Is This Audi RS Q8 for You?

With bold looks, supercar-level performance, and a price way below the Lamborghini Urus, this custom Audi RS Q8 could be the perfect mix of style, speed, and value. Plus, it does look like something Batman would drive.
