Mercedes-AMG is working on a brand-new GT 4-Door EV, but that doesn't make the current GT 4-Door Coupe any less exciting. In the proper setup, this sporty sedan can challenge real supercars.
Renntech's GT 63 S Is Packed With Power
Renntech's latest version focuses on the GT 63 S, not to be confused with the newer GT 63 Coupe related to the SL-Class. Even without tuning, the GT 63 S is powerful. It makes 630 hp (639 PS / 470 kW) and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque. The regular GT 63 (non-S) makes 577 hp (585 PS / 430 kW) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm).
Renntech took it further. Their tuned GT 63 S makes 875 hp (likely measured in European horsepower). That's about 863 bhp and 644 kW. Torque is rated at 871 lb-ft (1,181 Nm). This is more than the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance, which has 831 hp (843 PS / 620 kW) and 1,033 lb-ft (1,400 Nm).
Sprint Time and Top Speed Expectations
The hybrid GT 63 S E Performance reaches 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 2.9 seconds and can hit 196 mph (316 km/h). With the same top speed, the regular GT 63 S does 0-62 mph in 3.2 seconds. The non-S model is about 0.2 seconds slower.
Renntech hasn't shared the sprint time for its version yet. But the extra power from the 4.0L bi-turbo V8 likely cuts a few tenths off the 0-62 mph time.
Aggressive Look With Renntech Aero 1 Package
Painted in Spectral Blue Magno, this custom GT 63 S comes with Renntech's Aero 1 Package and R3 Performance upgrades. The car now has:
- A 4-piece front splitter
- Side skirt attachments
- Carbon fiber canards
- A new rear diffuser
- A large rear wing
The wheels are HF-2s from Vossen, finished in anthracite gray. The design finishes with blacked-out accents, privacy-tinted windows, and yellow brake calipers for contrast.
Is This Renntech GT 63 S for Sale?
Renntech didn't say much more about this build. It also doesn't seem to be for sale. This may be a one-off project made to show off their tuning skills. It could also be a custom car ordered by a client or a marketing tool to show what Renntech can do.
There's no price listed, but if you want one like it, a quick call or email to Renntech could get the ball rolling.
So, if you owned a Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4-Door Coupe, would you upgrade it like this?
