ABT Sportsline has upgraded the Audi SQ8 again. This sporty SUV coupe now has even more power and performance.
Just over a month ago, ABT gave the SQ8 641 horsepower (650 ps / 478 kW) and 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque. Now, they've pushed it further. The new version has 690 horsepower (700 ps / 515 kW) and 642 lb-ft (870 Nm) of torque. This boost comes from improved intercoolers and better airflow. With this much power, the SQ8 now competes with the Lamborghini Urus—at least on paper.
How It Compares to the Lamborghini Urus
The Lamborghini Urus Performante has 657 horsepower (666 ps / 490 kW) and 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque. Its 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine can go from 0 to 62 mph (100 kph) in just 3.3 seconds. It can reach a top speed of 190 mph (306 kph).
The Audi RS Q8 is a little slower. It has 631 horsepower (640 ps / 571 kW) and the same 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque. It goes from 0 to 62 mph in 3.6 seconds and has a top speed of 174 mph (280 kph).
The stock Audi SQ8, before tuning, has a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with 500 horsepower (507 ps / 373 kW) and 568 lb-ft (770 Nm) of torque. It's about half a second slower than the RS Q8 when going from 0 to 62 mph and has a top speed of 130 mph (210 kph).
ABT hasn't yet shared the exact 0-62 mph time for their tuned SQ8, but it should be close to—or maybe even faster than—the Urus Performante.
Style Upgrades and New Body Kit
ABT didn't stop at just adding more power. They also gave the Audi SQ8 a fresh look with a complete body kit. The upgrade includes:
- A rear wing
- A front spoiler
- A diffuser
- Custom tailpipes
You can also pick 22- or 23-inch GR or HR wheels from ABT's collection. The suspension got an upgrade, too. The ABT Level Control system lets you lower the car in three different settings, which improves comfort and handling.
Interior Touches and Premium Details
Inside the SUV, ABT added some nice touches. You'll see the ABT logo projected on the ground when you open the door. You can also get custom dashboard trims and seat finishes.
The gear knob now comes with a glossy carbon fiber look, and the start button has a backlit ABT logo, adding a sleek, high-end feel to the cabin.
