It's been a while since we talked about the McLaren 720S Spider. The last one we covered was about six months ago. That version came from Liberty Walk, a tuner known for widebody kits and bold designs. It looked like a race car for the street, with big fender flares, a large rear wing, and an aggressive front end.
Simpler but Still Eye-Catching Modifications
The latest 720S Spider we've seen is much cleaner. This one doesn't have the bolt-on fenders or giant wings. Instead, it features:
- A new front bumper with side blades
- Side skirt extensions
- A new hood
- A small ducktail-style rear end
It's not overloaded with mods, which lets other parts of the car shine.
Wrapped in a Unique Lavender Color
What really grabs your attention is the color. The car has a lavender-like wrap that covers all the panels. Black accents add contrast, making the color pop. The interior is mostly black, with some white touches on the seats and possibly a few other spots.
Bold White Wheels with Purple Calipers
The wheels also stand out. They're finished in bright white, with purple brake calipers behind them. These wheels called Anrky XR-105, come in many sizes, styles, and finishes. While they're not exclusive to this car, they add a fun contrast to the purple body. We don't think they're the perfect match, but they're far from the worst either. Overall, the white rims help highlight the wrap and bring out the car's playful vibe.
A Powerful Supercar That Ends an Era
Every McLaren fan knows that the 720S Spider ended production in 2023. Its replacement, the McLaren 750S, is more of a significant upgrade than a complete redesign. It improves on things like power and performance but keeps much of what made the 720S great.
The McLaren 720S Spider still packs serious performance:
- 4.0L twin-turbo V8 engine
- 710 horsepower (720 PS or 530 kW)
- 568 lb-ft of torque (770 Nm)
- 7-speed automatic transmission
- 0–62 mph (0–100 kph) in just 2.9 seconds
- Top speed of 212 mph (341 kph)
- 1/4 mile time: 10.4 seconds
This supercar offers mind-blowing speed with the thrill of open-top driving.
