The newest BMW M2 is already powerful. Its twin-turbo 3.0L inline-six engine produces 473 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque.
But tuning company TRE thought it needed even more power. So, they boosted the engine to 562 horsepower and 490 pound-feet of torque. This lets the car go from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.2 seconds. That's about a full second faster than the stock 2025 BMW M2 Coupe and even quicker than the M4 Competition xDrive Coupe, which has 523 horsepower.
TR87 Carbon Package Adds Style and Performance
TRE added more than just power. The TR87 Carbon Package includes:
- New kidney grilles
- A new front bumper center trim and air ducts
- A new rear diffuser
These changes are inspired by the older F87 M2 CS. TRE also added a three-piece front splitter, side skirt add-ons, and an adjustable rear wing. These upgrades help improve the car's handling and maneuverability in the air.
More Options for Looks and Handling
You can get a smaller rear spoiler and rear bumper winglets for a cleaner look. For better performance, there's also the Handling Package, which includes:
- Adjustable springs
- New control arm bushes
- Rear toe arms
- Adjustable camber plates
- New wheels: 285/35R19 front and 295/30R20 rear
Pricing in the UK
The Handling Package costs £4,450 (about $5,725).
The full TR87 Package, with the power boost and extras, costs £12,999 (around $15,725).
The base BMW M2 Coupe starts at £48,045 ($61,810) in the UK. With both packages added, the total price is at least £65,494 ($84,260), which is close to the price of a new X3 M50 xDrive.
Pricing in the U.S.
In the U.S., BMW sells the 2025 M2 Coupe at $64,900 (about £50,435). It's the cheapest car in BMW's high-performance M lineup.
You can get it with either a manual or automatic gearbox. It has 10.5x20-inch wheels in the back and 9.5x19-inch wheels in the front. Many tech options are also available.
2025 BMW M2 Gets Small Updates
BMW made a few updates to the second-gen M2 last month. The power is slightly higher, but the outside looks almost the same.
Inside, the car now has BMW's Operating System 8.5. It has fewer buttons than before, which might not be great for people who prefer physical controls. There's also a new steering wheel; you can choose Alcantara for a more sporty feel.
Deliveries Begin in August
BMW will start delivering the 2025 M2 Coupe in August, shipping to global markets from its home base in Munich, Germany.
