Novitec has been busy this year, bringing out several upgraded cars. The latest one is a fully customized version of the Ferrari Roma Spider.
A Big Power Boost for the Ferrari Roma Spider
Like the earlier coupe version, the Novitec Ferrari Roma Spider has some big performance changes. The tuner increased the engine's power to 694 hp (704 ps/518 kW) at 7,400 rpm and 651 lb-ft (882 Nm) of torque at 3,750 rpm.
For comparison, the regular 3.9L twin-turbo V8 engine makes 611 hp (620 ps/456 kW) and 561 lb-ft (760 Nm) of torque. This power comes between 5,750–7,500 rpm and 3,000–5,750 rpm.
Faster Acceleration and Top Speed
The stock Ferrari Roma Spider goes from 0 to 62 mph (100 kph) in 3.4 seconds. With Novitec's upgrades, that time drops to just 3.2 seconds. Also, the top speed increases from 199 mph (320 kph) to over 202 mph (325 kph).
More Than Just Speed—A New Look Too
Novitec didn’t stop at making the Roma Spider faster. The car also gets new aero parts. These include a carbon fiber front lip spoiler that reduces front-end lift and helps the car stay more stable at high speeds.
Other carbon fiber upgrades include a new front grille, trim under the headlights, side skirts, side mirror covers, and a rear diffuser. The black tailpipes connect to the original exhaust system, giving it a bold, aggressive look.
New Wheels and Lower Ride Height
Novitec teamed up with Vossen for the wheels. The car in the photo has NF 11 wheels, with 21-inch rims in the front and 22-inch rims in the rear. The tires are 255/30 front and 315/25 rear, and you can choose from different colors.
Lowering springs reduce the ride height by about 1.4 inches (35 mm) to make the car sit lower and look sportier. These springs also work with a front-lift system that helps the car go over steep ramps and speed bumps without scraping.
Interior Upgrades for a Personal Touch
Want to change the inside, too? Novitec offers a wide choice of premium leather and Alcantara in many colors, making it easy to personalize the cabin to your taste.
Price? Still a Mystery
How much does this full package cost? Novitec didn't include pricing details in the official press release below.
Would You Upgrade Your Ferrari Roma Spider?
If you owned a Ferrari Roma Spider, would you go for Novitec's upgrade kit? Would you also change the materials inside? I'd stick with the power boost. But hey, the other extras do add some nice flair.
