The Ferrari F8 Spider may not be part of Ferrari's new lineup anymore, and it doesn't have a direct replacement yet. But that hasn't stopped car tuners from modifying it. One tuning company that still finds it exciting is Mansory. And now, they've revealed their new version of the car, called the F8XX Spider.
A Bold Look With Racing Stripes and Teal
The F8XX Spider is based on the regular Ferrari F8 Spider. You can even see the name "F8XX Spider" written on its doors. It has a two-tone paint job, mixing black and teal. It also features white double racing stripes across the front bumper, hood, top of the windshield, rear deck, and spoiler. Plus, the Italian flag stripe stretches from front to back.
New Body Parts and Forged Carbon Everywhere
Mansory posted pictures of the F8XX Spider on social media. These pictures show many add-on parts added to the car's body. Some of them include:
- New side skirts
- Side air intakes
- A chin spoiler with extra side blades
- Added parts on the front bumper
- Vented fenders
- A rear wing and ducktail spoiler
- A large rear diffuser
Mansory is also known for loving forged carbon, and this car uses many of it. It's easy to see the carbon fiber details all over the outside.
Custom Wheels From the Aftermarket World
The wheels are another standout feature. Mansory used aftermarket wheels called the YT.5 Air. They are 21 inches in the front and 22 inches in the rear. The design may not appeal to everyone, but it gives the car a bold look.
Teal Leather and Carbon Fiber Fill the Interior
Inside the car, Mansory changed a lot of things, too. Almost everything you touch is now covered in teal leather. This includes:
- The seats
- Center console
- Steering wheel
- Door panels
- Dashboard
New carpets and floor mats, white piping, more Italian flag accents, extra carbon fiber, and the Mansory logo on various parts inside the cabin are also included.
More Power for the Mid-Engine Supercar
Besides the new looks, the Mansory F8XX Spider also gets a serious power boost. The regular F8 Spider has a 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, making 710 horsepower and 568 lb-ft of torque. It can go from 0-62 mph in just 2.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 211 mph (340 km/h).
Mansory increased the power by upgrading the turbochargers and other parts. The F8XX Spider now makes 868 horsepower and 708 lb-ft of torque. That's a significant upgrade, and even though Mansory hasn't shared the exact new speed numbers, it's safe to say it’s even faster now.
Is the Mansory F8XX Spider Worth It?
So, would you give your Ferrari F8 Spider the Mansory F8XX makeover? Personally, I wouldn't. The added power is excellent, but the design is too flashy and overdone. It feels more like a show car than a stylish supercar.
