Ferrari's 296 GTS, known for its fun open-top driving, has caught the eye of tuning company Mansory. Almost two years after Ferrari launched this supercar, Mansory gave it a bold new look and more power.
Eye-Catching Changes to the Exterior
Mansory made several upgrades to the outside of the Ferrari 296 GTS. These changes give it a sportier and more aggressive look. The car now has:
- A new front apron with sharp side blades
- Side skirt add-ons
- Trim pieces on the fenders
- A bigger rear diffuser
- Multiple Mansory logos
The main color is black, but it gets a splash of contrast with bronze wheels. These wheels also show off the Mansory-branded brake calipers, adding even more style.
Sporty Interior With Bronze Details
Inside the car, Mansory continued the black and bronze theme. The cabin uses black leather and Alcantara, a soft, sporty material. Bronze touches appear on:
- The center console
- Seatbelts
- Door panels
- Other small trim pieces
The Mansory logo can be found in many interior parts. Paddle shifters with the Italian flag colors and carbon fiber trim complete the stylish makeover.
More Power From the Tempesta GTS Convertible
Mansory calls its tuned version the Tempesta GTS Convertible. The car gets a small power increase over the standard model. It now produces:
- 858 horsepower (870 PS / 640 kW)
- 553 lb-ft of torque (750 Nm)
This extra power lets the car go from 0 to 62 mph (100 kph) in just 2.8 seconds. The top speed stays at 205 mph (330 kph).
How It Compares to the Stock Ferrari 296 GTS
Let's look at how Mansory's version compares to the regular 296 GTS.
Stock Ferrari 296 GTS:
- 818 hp (830 PS / 610 kW)
- 546 lb-ft of torque (740 Nm)
- 0–62 mph in 2.9 seconds
- Top speed: 205 mph (330 kph)
- Average fuel use: 36.2 mpg (US)
- CO2 emissions: 153 g/km
So, the Tempesta GTS has 40 hp and 7 lb-ft more, and it's 0.1 seconds quicker to 62 mph.
Similar Style to Mansory's Ferrari 296 GTB
Does this makeover look familiar? That's because Mansory did something similar to the Ferrari 296 GTB coupe. Revealed last fall, it also got:
- A full-body upgrade
- A reworked interior
- The same power boost
This version also hits 62 mph in 2.9 seconds and shares the 205 mph top speed, thanks to an ECU remap and sports exhaust system.
No Pricing Yet, But Expect It to Be Costly
Mansory hasn't shared pricing for its 296 GTS upgrades yet. If you want to give your Ferrari this bold makeover, you'll need to contact them directly. Remember—the Ferrari 296 GTB starts at around $320,000, and the 296 GTS costs about $20,000 more.
