
The Brabus Rocket 900 engine has been installed in Mercedes-Benz's most premium SUV, the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4MATIC.
The new GLS 900 variant is operated by a V8 twin-turbo engine with more displacements. The swept capacity has been raised from 3982 cc to 4407 cc by extending the cylinder bore to 84 millimeter and the length of the stroke to 100 mm using precision-balanced custom billet crankshaft and piston rods.
In addition, the engine includes two higher-pressure pumps with improved flow rate and an additional turbo pump to make sure optimal fuel supply to the engine, as well as a newly updated intake system to improve air supply.
The new Rocket 900 has a highest peak power of 900 horsepower at a low 6200 rpm and 1250 Nm of torque at 2900 rpm. The acceleration from 0-100 km/h takes 4.2 seconds, and the highest speed is electronically set at 320 km/h due to the vehicle's heavy weight.
The two designed specifically outstanding performance turbochargers have a big compressor unit and a unique core assembly with reinforced axial bearings. In this setup, the boost pressure is boosted to 1.4 bar above the production parts.
The vehicle has also been upgraded with a Brabus outstanding performance stainless exhaust system including actively regulated exhaust valves and free-flow metal catalysts. Additionally, the technology allows the driver to control the exhaust note from the cockpit, and the tailpipes have a Brabus branding.
The vehicle's appearance incorporates carbon detachable elements, a Shadow Grey glazing treatment on the radiator grille and all trim sections, Brabus carbon parts with an integrated diffuser swapping the center section of the back bumper, and fenders with Brabus exposed carbon flares.
The vehicle is equipped with a set of 24 inch Monoblock M 'Platinum Edition' forged tires and Sport Contact 6 outstanding performance wheels. The front axle has 10Jx24 wheels with 295/35 R24 tires, while the back axle has 12Jx24 wheels with 335/30 R24 tires.
Additionally, Brabus chassis experts upgraded the conventional air suspension with a unique control system to match the sporty tires and reduce ride height by 25mm.
The vehicle's interior boasts a unique two-tone black and cream finish, shell-shaped quilting and perforations on the seat center parts, door panels, vehicle flooring, cushions and floor mats, cozy cushions with Alcantara pillowcase, aluminum pedals, back head restraints with attached Brabus logo, and Brabus Carbon components that have a high gloss finish on the steering wheel, dashboard, center console, and door inlays.
