Who said convertibles didn't require more power? This model is the new Posaidon RS 830+, dependent on the Mercedes-AMG GT R Roadster. This GT R version is strictly limited to 750 units, each of which is numbered.
The AMG GT-R Roadster has a standard output of 585 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque. However, the vehicle has been outfitted with an upgraded Mulheim-Karlich M178 engine, which boosts its maximum power to 880hp and has an electronically limited torque figure of 1000 Nm. The acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 2.9 s, and the maximum speed has been raised to 360 km/h.
The two new ball bearings, outstanding performance turbochargers, high-performance forged pistons, sports air filters, outstanding performance spark plugs, and new improved fuel pumps all contribute to the increased power. Furthermore, the engine's combustion gases are released via the new manifolds and downpipes equipped with sports catalytic converters.
In addition, the Posaidon RS has an AMG SPEEDSHIFT 7-speed dual clutch transmission, which handles power transmission. The transmission has been improved and tailored in terms of software and hardware. The updated model includes two less aggressive hardware-based options: the RS 830, which uses the same components as the RS 830+ but produces 830 hp and 950 Nm of torque, and the entry-level version, which upgrades the original M178 turbocharger, produces 780 hp and 850 Nm, and adds downpipes with catalytic converters and a tailored air intake. This package also contains reinforced transmission hardware.
