Novitec has been tuning the Ferrari 296 GTB for a while. But this new version might be the most exciting one yet. Say hello to the Novitec Ferrari 296 N-Largo—a bold and wide upgrade to a fantastic car.
Wider and Bolder Design
You will notice some significant changes if you're a big Ferrari fan. The new front and rear fenders are much wider. Compared to the original Ferrari 296 GTB:
- The front is now 2.4 inches (60 mm) wider
- The rear is 4.7 inches (120 mm) wider
These changes give the car a more powerful and aggressive look.
Carbon Fiber Aero Parts Improve Speed and Stability
Novitec added new parts to make the car faster and more stable:
- Front lip spoiler: Made with exposed carbon fiber, it helps keep the car stable at high speeds
- Trunk lid spoiler with air ducts: Improves airflow
- Optional rear wing: Also made from exposed carbon fiber
- New rear diffuser: Helps control airflow under the car
- New vents on the front fenders: Cools the brakes better
These upgrades make the Ferrari look sportier and perform better.
Custom Wheels from Vossen
Novitec teamed up with Vossen again to create new wheels for the car. These are the NF11 NL wheels:
- Front: 9.5x21 inches with 255/30 tires
- Rear: 12.5x22 inches with 335/25 tires
Thanks to new sport springs, the car now sits 1.4 inches (35 mm) lower. There's also an optional nose-lift system that raises the front by 1.6 inches (40 mm), helping you avoid scraping the front bumper. The system automatically goes back down when you hit 50 mph (80 kph), or you can lower it manually.
New Exhaust System Boosts Power
The new exhaust setup includes:
- High-flow turbo inlets
- 100-cell metal catalytic converters
This gives the Ferrari an extra 37 horsepower, bringing the total to 855 hp (868 ps/638 kW).
Here's a breakdown of the power:
- 3.0L twin-turbo V6: 654 hp (663 ps/488 kW)
- Electric motor: 165 hp (167 ps/123 kW)
- Combined torque: 546 lb-ft (740 Nm)
- Combined output: 818 hp (830 ps/610 kW)
The engine can rev up to 8,500 rpm, offering an intense driving experience.
Performance Numbers (Almost)
Novitec didn't share the exact acceleration times, but we know the standard Ferrari 296 GTB can:
- Go from 0–62 mph (100 kph) in 2.9 seconds
- Go from 0–124 mph (200 kph) in 7.3 seconds
- Reach a top speed of over 205 mph (330 kph)
So, with the Novitec upgrades, expect it to be even quicker.
